APPLICATION OF INFOMOBILITY FOR THE visually impaired

THE CUSTOMER'S NEEDS

The Client, a software house specializing in the development and marketing of mobile applications, required the development of a project with social and public utility connotations, to be directed towards its Target Customers (Municipal Administrations) in the context of audience expansion of pre-existing infomobility applications. 

THE PROJECT360 PROPOSAL

​

Project360 has developed a concept of an infomobility system for the visually impaired, based on a re-edition of the pre-existing application with a new graphic interface and new methods of interaction, optimized for the particular category of end users. The system is also integrated with the navigator functionality, based on Beacon technology and therefore able to guide the visually impaired with greater precision.

Navigation system  

After having defined and identified the  areas of coverage of the system and the related Points of Interest, the feasibility study of Project360 highlighted the possibility of using a navigation system, with a high level of precision, based on the "Triangulation Beacon" . The combined use of traditional GPS geolocation with this proximity technology has thus made it possible to implement an audio guide that addresses, step by step, the particular category of end users.

The high innovative content of this system has made it possible to  submit the project to  FRIMM-FESR 2014-2020-R&D Line of the Lombardy Region program , allowing the Customer to obtain a loan of

€ 100,000 for the implementation and evolution of the system.
