The implemented solution and future developments

A territorial-based sensor system, based on control units powered by photovoltaic panels, constitutes the hardware infrastructure at the base of the implemented system.

The data collected by the sensors are stored in a dedicated cloud environment and can be queried by the web / mobile application intended for owners and winemakers.

Using the appropriate time filters (months, days, time bands), it is possible to scroll the historical series of the collected data, which can be viewed in table format and / or with the aid of graphs.

The system can manage the monitoring of all cycles related to viticulture, from growth to the conservation of wine, and is particularly useful when the evaluation of oenologists can be compared with the values collected by the sensors.

The system is conceived with an evolutionary logic, waiting to have collected a significant amount of data and representative of the entire monitored area.

In the next version, the big data management infrastructure will be enriched with BlockChain technology, in order to ensure better traceability and certification of the collected data.
