The project comes before the measure
Public funding creates value when it supports a clear industrial or technology decision: a new process, a digital service, a more secure infrastructure, a product to validate or capabilities to build. Starting from “an available call” can instead lead to fragmented investments and weak applications.
We support SMEs, limited companies, startups and innovative SMEs in connecting goals, eligibility, costs and delivery capacity. We first examine the company’s project, then assess potentially compatible instruments.
A six-stage path
- Need. Define the expected outcome, investment, timing and business impact.
- Assessment. Compare company requirements, measure constraints and eligible costs.
- Design. Translate the idea into activities, deliverables, costs, ownership and indicators.
- Application. Prepare evidence and technical inputs around a coherent case.
- Delivery. Coordinate progress, suppliers, changes and programme deadlines.
- Reporting. Organise technical, administrative and financial evidence throughout the project.
Forms of support
Measures may provide a grant, soft loan, tax credit, guarantee or a combination of instruments. Rates, limits, payment timing and cumulation rules vary. Their practical value must therefore be assessed alongside the commitments the company needs to sustain.
Technology as an investment field
We focus on opportunities involving AI and data, cloud and cybersecurity, process digitalisation, software platforms, system integration, IoT and automation, research and development, Industry 4.0 and 5.0, smart cities and buildings, blockchain and digital skills.
Our ability to read architectures, requirements and delivery plans strengthens the technical case. Where further specialisms are needed, we coordinate a network of professionals and suppliers or work with the client’s existing team.
Measures worth monitoring
Smart&Start Italia is a reference for innovative startups. Digitalisation vouchers and cloud or cybersecurity measures show how specific investments may be supported through national or regional programmes. Other calls cover R&D, digital transition, technology transfer and specialist training.
These are families and examples, not permanently available offers. Opening dates, funding, eligibility and conditions must always be checked against official sources at application time.
Operational sustainability matters too
Formal eligibility is only one part of the decision. We consider timing, cash requirements, internal resources, supplier dependencies, documentary obligations and the ability to complete the work. We do not promise access to funding: we help build the conditions for an informed decision and, where the path is sound, a well-managed application.
